Curriculum

Our Mission Statement is: To prepare our children for life by providing an education within a caring environment where everyone shares and lives the values, teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.

St Joseph’s School is based on the New Zealand Curriculum Framework. It covers the seven Essential Learning Areas of: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Technology, Health and Physical Education and The Arts with Religious Education as our eighth essential learning area.

Our curriculum incorporates the Key Competencies of the drafted New Zealand Curriculum Project, allows for individual needs and abilities and promotes attitudes and values based on the Gospel Values and teachings of Jesus Christ.
